WINTER WHIMSY

Zaza’s Continuing Saga

December 3, 2018

With trumpets blast, Zaza rejoices that her ten fingers can touch again – no more casts, moving towards 4 weeks of physical therapy and the doctor’s urging not to overdo things.  Her mind immediately recalls how she loves to prepare her garden for winter.  Say what? O, just gathering holly, twigs, pine branches, putting them in an old barrel, adding pine cones with Christmas ornaments and ribbons, placing candles with angels here and there to welcome Mr. Winter to her wonderland…a new patience to exercise lingering by the fireplace for the “Pere Noel” to surprise her on Christmas Day.

WISHING YOU A BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL END OF YEAR CELEBRATION

Her progress to be continued in January 2019!  Woo-hoo!dc14be69c1664261f8f50da577815be3--christmas-time-merry-christmas

“The Blessed Virgin Mary suffered from the cold and said to Joseph: we must rest, I can go no farther.  Joseph spread the coverings under a terebinth tree, hung a lighted lantern on the lower branches of the tree and they refreshed themselves with fruit and little loaves of bread. Mary prayed earnestly to God that Joseph would not suffer from the cold, at once she was filled with so great a warmth that she held out her hand to Joseph to warm his.”
