BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD

blogger recognition award july 2018THANK YOU SO MUCH!

@bodyandsoulnourishmentblog for this delightful invitation.  Everyone, do visit Amira’s impressive blog — you will be wonderfully cuddled.

My writing experience began three years ago with an informal writing group and Voila!…am expressing joy, gratitude and thanking God for life with Haibun, Haiku, Cinquain poem, free verse and short stories accompanied with beautiful art.  Here are some samples:

“I AM FROM’ POEM

I am from an international medley

An eclectic magnet for life

I am from tenacious gypsy spirit

In style and relationships

I am from orthodoxy to unconventional thoughts

I am from writing from the heart

With God’s beauty and grace

Dear Friends, I highly recommend you compose your own “I Am From” poem.  I’ve written several and each rendition seem to reflect an evolution of self knowledge – you too will be happily surprised.

HAIBUN

Recently my husband drove us down memory lane of his Alabama countryside childhood.  We forged ahead on dusty paths, turned and circled about until he spotted the land he lived on for 12 years.  This painting from Burchfield captures what was left behind so long ago.

lonely walker from PritiC  SHORT STORY – LONG FOR HIM

My son, Christopher, occasionally sends me postcards from Vashon, Washington.  Each postcard reflects a moment of where his life is taking him, especially by the words he writes on them.  I cherish them all because it is good to know where he is trekking.  There, his life seems stable, he’s blooming according to his passions and talents.  I believe he has found some degree of happiness and that notion comforts me greatly.

The rest of this story depends on him.  I hope one day to complete this, my first short story, with him at my side.

MY BLOG CAME INTO BEING with a nudge from Sharon, an experienced author and spiritual director.  She is my delight and I am her muse.  And thanks to WordPress, the Scribe for Love ponders and writes, adding prayer, meditation and God’s Grace to the mix and my newfound passion and joy type the characters.  One very important ingredient is how well I have been received by every visitor, follower and blogger, so thank you all for your wonderful support.  We are an amazing creative community from which we can each springboard to greater heights of “love, peace and truth.”
