LASTING IMPRESSION

Vincent Van Gogh Handbag by Louis Vuitton

Artful Writing

A recent visit to Las Vegas inspires this short story.   To my delight upon arriving at the resort, we discovered all sorts of art galleries and specialty boutiques across the boulevard.  There  – is the famous Louis Vuitton showroom and this extravagant handbag, which today sells for $4,900 gently used  – yikes!  Never mind – I was thrilled and satisfied to see how my favorite artist Van Gogh trumps our flamboyant pop culture.

THINKING, HOW COOL, VINTAGE ART STILL BEATS POP CULTURE!

…so thankful for these happy memories…

C’EST SI BON

French Almond Cookies

HAIBUN

This vintage poster reminds me of the French almond cookies that my grandmother would serve guests with a chilled Rose’ de Provence wine.  These buttery cookies would melt in the mouth especially if dipped into the glass…surging a double dose of sugary adrenaline.  When the tin was empty, Mame Jeanne would store loose buttons in it.  The tin now contains my husband’s paint brushes.
