OCTOBER

October

“Autumn has caught us in our summer wear.”

QUOTE by Philip Larking

*

“Autumn days come quickly, like the running of a hound on the moor.”

Irish Proverb

HAIBUN

October is sweet – yet – bitter for my Beloved and me – remembering how we first met 33 years ago, fan faring our birthdays either at the lake or on a mountaintop, yet sadly honoring his mother’s passing on his special day.

“There is an appointed time for everything under the heavens.  A time to be born, and a time to die…a time to weep, and a time to laugh…a time to mourn and a time to dance”…from the Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-11.

We dance breathlessly, we rejoice for the Lord is our rock and fortress, and we delight in the bountiful array of blessings that October offers us and indeed offers everyone.
